Abstract: Electrical impedance tomography is a technique that allows to image the distribution of the conductivity of a domain from impedance measurements made at several points on its surface. The method was initially developed by geophysicists for mineral prospecting (Maillet, 1947). However, its biomedical applications were quickly recognized (Brown and Barber, 1984).
