Abstract: In this work, we present a delay-differential equation model with optimal control and logistic hepatocyte growth. This model describes the interactions between the hepatocytes, the free hepatitis B virus (HBV) with DNA-containing capsids and the adaptive immune response. Both the treatment and the intracellular delay are incorporated into the model. Existence, positivity and boundedness of solutions are investigated.
