Abstract: Mobile-edge computing (MEC) is a promising technology to reduce the computing pressure of mobile devices by offloading the computational tasks to the MEC server. We present latency-optimal task scheduling policies based on Markov decision process (MDP) theory, which is used to control local processing and transmission unit states and task buffer queue length as a function of channel state. We also give a delay minimization problem by considering power as a constraint.
