Abstract: In the current paper, a kinetic theory approach is considered to model the emergency evacuation of pedestrians from a bounded domain includes walls, exits, and obstacles. The interactions of a person with other pedestrians are modeled by using tools of game theory. The heterogeneity of individual behaviors is introduced into the model by an activity variable. Numerical simulations are based on a Monte Carlo particle method. They are presented to study the influence of the bottleneck and square domain, and the shape of obstacles on emergency evacuation.
