Abstract: The aim of this paper is to prove for rational type contraction in complete metric spaces, that …xed point problem is well-posed. Example are provided to illustrate the validity of our results. Afterwards, we apply our theorem to study the possibility of optimally controlling the solution of an ordinary di¤erential equation via dynamic programming.
