Abstract: The Banach contraction principle, gave a new direction to fixed point theory by adding metric structure and an inequality (called contraction) to it. The fixed-point theory made its position in mathematics literature due to its smart applications to show the existence of solutions to real life mathematical models. The metric fixed point theory attracts many mathematicians to explore it more.
