Abstract: Diapause and insecticide resistance is a pest survival process. To better understand these traits, we discuss a structured model with two life stages, juveniles and reproducing adults. The life cycle of the population is divided into three periods: Prediapause, Diapause, and Post-diapause stage. The overlapping generations are described by delay differential equations.
